The marriage of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle has brought about significant changes in him, leading to a noticeable disconnect from his former close friends with whom he once shared a strong bond, including his now estranged brother, Prince William.
In a conversation with Spin Genie, Grant Harrold, the former butler of King Charles, asserted that Prince Harry's behavior has shifted to one of relative silence since he made the decision to step back from his royal responsibilities.
Harrold stated, "I'm acquainted with several of Harry's companions, and they no longer receive any communication from him."
This change became evident when Prince Harry failed to make an appearance at the July wedding of his friend Jack Mann, despite attending the subsequent wedding celebration, where Mann affectionately referred to him as the "unofficial best man."
The repercussions of Prince Harry's transformation also extend to his relationship with Prince William, as their interactions have become strained since the public airing of the royal family's internal conflicts by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Harrold lamented, "Both of them were once highly sociable individuals. What's particularly saddening is how they've transitioned from being the closest of friends to almost non-existent in each other's lives. Their disconnect is palpable."
Before their relationship deteriorated, Harrold recalled that the two brothers shared a vibrant camaraderie, often engaging in playful banter and light-hearted jokes.
My primary interactions with them were during their late teenage years and twenties," he recalled.
I appreciated their rapport.
They enjoyed playing pranks on each other and engaging in friendly teasing, all in good spirits.
They even shared the same circle of friends, frequently seen enjoying time together at local pubs. It was truly a golden period for them.
