Contrasting Styles: 'Rebel' Meghan Markle Challenges Tradition, while 'Conformist' Kate Middleton Embraces Royal Norms

Insiders and Royal Experts Offer Insights into Contrasting Lifestyles and Temperaments of Kate, Princess of Wales, and Meghan Markle during Conversation

During a recent conversation, individuals with knowledge of Kensington Palace and royal matters shed light on the distinctive lifestyles and personalities of Kate, Princess of Wales, and Meghan Markle.

According to palace staff members, Princess Kate, as the wife of Prince William, possesses a notably higher level of emotional intelligence compared to Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's partner.

Tom Quinn, the author of 'Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family,' unveiled intriguing insights about Meghan and Kate while drawing a comparison between the two prominent women during an interview with Daily Express US.

Quinn, an expert in the field, disclosed details from private conversations he had with individuals closely associated with the palace, acknowledging that their perspectives may have been influenced by their personal experiences within the Royal Family.

He stated, "People I have spoken to say Kate is much more emotionally intelligent than Meghan."

Kate's approach, he explained, involved entering the Royal Family with a full awareness of the role she was expected to play, understanding that the established rules were not subject to change. He noted, "She went into the Royal Family with her eyes wide open and thought, 'It's a part I've got to play. I can't change the rules.'"

Quinn characterized Kate as a 'conformist' rather than a 'rebel,' citing her decision to work for her parents immediately after university and her inclination to stay within established boundaries rather than pursuing an independent path.

According to Quinn, this inclination towards conformity can be traced back to Kate's childhood, which he believes contributed to her seamless adaptation to royal life. He remarked, "In a sense, the fact that the Royal Family is unchanging and has a strict set of rules reflects on a different scale the boundaries that she had as a child."

In contrast, Quinn portrayed Meghan as a 'rebel' who chafed against the constraints of the Royal Family because of her desire to establish her own rules and forge an independent path. He remarked, "I don't think Kate had a problem with the boundaries of the royal family, whereas Meghan hated them because she wants to make her own rules. She's a rebel, whereas Kate is a conformist."

Additionally, the royal author praised Kate, who enjoys widespread support in the UK, for adhering to the Queen's mantra of "never complain, never explain," a principle that has proven beneficial to her.
